This year again, a roleplaying game was awarded the most covetted prize from outer space : the Grog d'Or. Every month, the Grog offered a game of the month, elected amongst other topical roleplaying games. To celebrate its 25st birthday, the whole crew voted to award one of these games the Grog d'Or for the best rpg in 2025.

This year, the Sailors left a large share to independent role-playing games. So it's only natural that the two finalists should reflect this selection, and reward two of these authors who have managed to bring their projects to fruition.
Ludovic Schurr is a newcomer to the publishing world. But his love of Extreme Vengeance convinced him to take the plunge and produce a new, improved edition for French-speaking readers who might otherwise have been unaware of this nugget. Ultime Vengeance 3D offers a different way of playing. By playing the actors rather than the characters, the challenge is no longer to succeed in your mission, but to do so with panache. There's never any question of taking the easy way out, because in the movies, luck and the public only smile on the bold. The meta approach to this game allows you to play fully with the codes of the genre, to modify the script, and above all to dare and undertake improbable actions.
Julien Pirou isn't exactly a newcomer either, quite the opposite in fact. He's already shown us his love for the world of video games with Lore & Legacy. Now he's at it again with Sans Coeur, which smacks of Castlevania, Dark Soul and Planescape: Torment. Unlike other dark fantasy games, Sans Coeur isn't about the final hours of a decaying world. No, here the characters are literally the bearers of a flame of hope in a world that thought itself lost. The stakes are high, however, and it will take the skills of these immortal characters to send evil and corruption back to Hell. Sans Coeur has the potential to be a mythical campaign, as long as the GM makes this gothic universe his own and lets his players hexplore the world so that they can make their mark and awaken a resistance that needs them badly.
Between the unbridled action of Ultime Vengeance 3D and standing up to fight the Evil that is eating away at the world in Sans Coeur, the sailors have chosen the path of resistance. A very topical choice that should inspire us all.
